According to the podcast on NPR Shortwaves entitled Crows are They Or Just Scary Samart? hosted by Maddie Sofia., crows are extremely intelligent. Crows are able to remember faces in both negative and positive circumstances. In a study people were sent out wearing a mask and they captured wild crows. Later on, whenever they sent out anyone wearing the pacific mask, both banded and unbanded Crows were shown to alarm call and begin to dive-bomb the person. To test this, they had people wear an upside-down mask. However even this did not work to distract the crows. The conclusion is that Crows are able to learn from their parents and spread the information that a person is dangerous. Regardless of the context, if you do anything to or for Crows, they have good quality long term memory. Crows can learn if a place or person is associated with predatory behavior. Additionally, New Caledonian Crows are able to make tools which is another sign of intelligence. The name of the podcast episode is Bait and Switch and it is hosted by Ira Glass of This American Life. The podcast has a conversational format and discusses the life experiences of people based on a theme. This Podcast episode is about people using red herring and how it backfires on them. The podcast episode is informative and also has a bit of humor in it.
Red Herring is presenting something as being one thing, when in reality it is another. For instance, when a food and beverage manager at a Holiday Inn decides to create a fake pizza delivery service and it backfires. The motivation was that the food and beverage manager became frustrated with having to prevent pizza delivery people from going to the elevators. Then one day this food and beverage manager came up with a better plan– to trick the guests. There were two problems with the fake pizza delivery service. The pizzas were the wrong size and the uniform. The food and beverage manager picked the type of clothes that one would expect a rodeo clown to wear. The podcast is interesting to listen to and it shows the unintended consequences of deceiving people.
Democratization of knowledge is open access to receive and send out information through the internet.
It has positive and negative effects. On the positive side, there is the podcast Radiolab Right to Be Forgotten about an online news organization that received emails from people whom they had posted stories about on their website. The people asked to have their names taken down due in part to the negative affects that the story had on their lives. It enables the creation of new job opportunities that are available to a wider range of people. For instance, makes it possible for people to express their personal opinion by blogging and make a living from it. It also makes it easier to get information out faster and this significantly helps with community safety. For instance, if there is cellphone footage of a shooter and it is uploaded to YouTube you would be able to identify the shooter. Black Lives Matter is a social movement that would not have happened without people having access to knowledge.
However, there are negative aspects of it as well. Such as people choosing to use social media to bully others while hiding behind anonymity. It allows creates the problem of viruses being sent through email and hacking computer information. Concerns about Invasion of privacy have been raised as a result of google maps. Because you can’t believe everything that you read online, it makes it important for you to make sure that you are getting your information from reliable sources. It also makes being online dangerous for kids because they haven’t yet learned that stranger danger applies online as well.

No, I do not think that the tattoo artist should be paid. The tattoo artist-based Mike Tyson’s tattoo of tattoos that are connected to Maori culture.Due to the simple fact that the tattoo is not an original creation. Therefore, the tattoo artist’s argument that the tattoo is his and he should be compensated is null and void. I think that Whitmill is wrong to believe that he is entitled to cultural appropriation.
There are two reasons why I think this is unacceptable
First is the fact that the tattoo artists claim that the tattoo which he based on an indigenous New Zealand (Maori) tattoos as his property. Second is that it is always wrong to isolate any part of any marginalized group and take credit for it.
In closing, paying the tattoo artist would be rewarding unacceptable behavior. It would give positive reinforcement for using intellectual property of Maori and demanding financial reimbursement for it.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.
Why do this?
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
